Motor home fire on Paulson Bridge

Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue (KBRFR) and Christina Lake Fire Rescue  responded to a motor home on fire 2km west of Paulson Bridge on Highway 3 today, Sunday, August 4.

The call came in just after 12pm and upon arrival the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames with near by trees starting to ignite.

Crews worked quickly to extinguish and prevent extension to the forest.

BC Wildfire responded with air support but was not required.

A GoFund me page has been set up for the woman, Michelle Bystrom, who’s home burnt down.
