Evacuation Order issued for properties along west side of Slocan Lake

Anther 7 properties have been added to an Evacuation Order, including the Evans Creek Campground due to the Mulvey Creek wildfire, which is part of the Slocan Lake Complex.

Residents and Visitors are required to leave the Evacuation Order area immediately. Evacuated residents are asked to go to their pre-arranged emergency locations, such as your primary residence or family or friends’ house and register online with Emergency Support Services (ESS) at https://ess.gov.bc.ca/ or by calling 1.800.387.4258. If you do not have a pre-arranged location and require support, please report to the Selkirk College Castlegar Campus reception centre, 301 Frank Beinder Way. Short-term assistance for immediate needs of food, shelter and clothing may be provided by ESS volunteers following registration. For further assistance you can call the RDCK EOC pubic inquiry line at 250-352-7701.
