Firefighters extinguish structure fire in Trail

Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue (KBFRF) were called to a structure fire on Daniel Street in West Trail on Thursday night, July 18.

Emergency services arrived at the scene just before 11:30pm to an active structure fire with heavy black smoke .

Crews worked quickly to extinguish the blaze and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby home and brush.

According to KBFRF Captain Jason Milne there were no occupants located at the building, and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation by the Regional Fire Rescue.
