New local Foundation formally launched

The new Community Foundation of Castlegar and District has been formally launched.

President Bob Jackson says that means two things …

Jackson says there’s over $7,000 to give to charitable groups this year.

The bulk of the foundation’s start-up funds came from the Kootenay Savings Credit Union.

All monies raised in future will be invested and the interest earned will go to community projects.
