City of Trail welcomes new staff

The City of Trail is welcoming two new staff members into city hall.

Tracey Butler is the new general manager of corporate services and administration.

She’s coming to Trail from Castlegar after nine years as director of corporate services, and 20 years in Rossland as a corporate officer and deputy chief administrative officer.

The city has also hired another local, with Claire Samulak becoming the new communications and events coordinator.

She has spent the last few years doing media relations, community engagement events and advertising for Columbia Basin Trust.

“We’re starting 2024 with excitement,” said Colin McClure, Trail’s chief administrative officer and chief financial officer.

“My optimism about Trail continues to grow, especially having expanded our team with these two individuals.
