Two Smoke Eater forwards commit to college

Two forwards with the Trail Smoke Eaters have decided where they’ll continue their hockey careers.

Assistant captain Adam Parsons committed to the University of Alaska Anchorage for the 2024-25 season.

Parsons is in his third year with the Smoke Eaters and has nine goals and 11 assists in 30 games.

“This commitment means a lot to my family and me,” said Parsons.

“My parents made countless sacrifices to help me get to where I am today. I would like to also thank my coaches, teammates and friends for helping get to this point in my career.”

Forward Ethan Mann has committed to the Milwaukee School of Engineering.

He joined the Smoke Eater in December 2022 and has posted 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points in 36 career games.

“Committing to MSOE allows me to be closer to family after being away for 3 years and to further my education in Engineering,” said Mann.

“I’d like to thank my coaches, teammates and family for helping me along the way.”
