Trail-area man killed on Highway 22

RCMP are looking for witnesses and dascham video as they investigate the death of a pedestrian on Highway 22 near Blueberry on Friday morning.

RCMP say the victim was a 36-year-old man from the Trail area who was struck by a Ford F150 pickup truck around 7 a.m.

The driver stayed at the scene and is co-operating with investigators. Police would also like to talk to anyone who might have seen the victim before the incident. You can contact the BC Highway Patrol at 250-354-5180.

The incident closed the highway for about five hours.
