Red Mountain postpones opening to Dec. 16

Red Mountain has pushed back its opening day by a week.

The Rossland ski hill said on its website that after assessing current conditions and forecast they now plan to open Saturday, Dec. 16.

“The forecast is promising but keep those snow dances going over the next week,” the ski hill wrote.

Red has received eight centimeters of snow in the past 24 hours. The current base is 40 cm.
