Fire sparked in Trail, crews working on containment

A fire has broken out on the hills behind Benedict’s Steakhouse off Rossland Avenue near Trail.

Crews are on scene and working to contain the blaze.

The fire was discovered just after 1 p.m. on Sunday.

The fire is approximately 0.6 hectares.

According to the BC Wildfire Service, the blaze is believed to be human-caused.
