UPDATED: West Kootenay realtor Greg Gritchin found dead

Update (June 16, 2023 @ 10 a.m.):

Trail RCMP officials have confirmed that 55-year-old Gregory Dean Gritchin was found deceased.

Details are limited at this time, this story will be updated once police share more information.

Original Story (June 15, 2023):

A well-known West Kootenay realtor is missing.

RCMP say Gregory Dean Gritchin, 55, of Genelle has not been in contact with his extended family for the last four days.

Police say that’s unusual for him and has raised concerns about his well-being.

Officers have not been able to locate him or his vehicle, which is a grey 2018 Jeep Cherokee bearing BC licence plate LW246S.

He and the vehicle were last seen in the 100 block of Columbia Avenue in Castlegar.

“Mr. Gritchin may have suffered a medical incident and his family is very worried about his state of health,” police said in the news release.

Gritchin is six-foot-three, about 250 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes.

He had his dog with him, seen below, at the time of his disappearance.
