Poplar Ridge COVID outbreak hits 10 cases

A COVID outbreak at Poplar Ridge pavilion in Trail has hit double digits.

Interior Health says 10 residents have come down with the virus since an outbreak was declared on April 10 at the extended care facility.

However, there have been no deaths and no one has been transferred to the hospital, which is adjacent to the pavilion.

An outbreak at the same facility last year infected 33 residents and six staff, and claimed two lives.
