Wanted Tarrys man arrested on Brilliant bridge

A local man wanted on a warrant for three charges including assaulting a police officer has been arrested following a traffic stop.

Castlegar RCMP say the 40-year-old from Tarrys was pulled over Saturday afternoon on the Brilliant bridge.

He’s also accused of resisting or obstructing a peace officer and escape from lawful custody or being unlawfully at large from an incident on Feb. 3.

The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was released on bail and will appear in court in Castlegar on June 28.
