RCMP and Fire Rescue in Trail will no doubt be interested in hearing the circumstances behind that vehicle that drove into the Columbia River.

They were called to the scene Tuesday morning down the river bank near McQuarrie street.

A speed boat was initially deployed to search for any missing people.

Police aren’t saying much except that they’d dealt with the vehicle’s occupants the previous night. But they were later reported safe and sound by the registered owner.

In another matter Trail RCMP are confirming they’re looking for a male suspect after a break and enter in the downtown Monday night.

A stolen white Chrysler Dynasty used in the crime at the electronics store was located late Tuesday.
