Smokie Brady Hunter nominated for Fenton trophy

Trail Smoke Eaters forward Brady Hunter has been named one of the three finalists for the Bob Fenton Trophy.

The award is handed out to a player who has exhibited the fundamental aspects of sportsmanship while excelling at the game, as determined by a vote of the league’s coaches.

Hunter has had a career year in his final season in the BCHL, putting up 62 points in 54 games. But he’s excelled as being a respected player across the league and officials, the team said. Hunter has just 14 penalty minutes this season, second lowest in the league.

The other two finalists are Jake Bongo from the Surrey Eagles and Josh Nadeau from the Penticton Vees.

The winner will be announced between the second and third rounds of the BCHL playoffs.
