Truck fire put out at Castle Wood Village

Castlegar firefighters suspect a mechanical or electrical failure started a fire in a pick-up truck in the parking lot of Castle Wood Village this morning.

Chief Sam Lattanzio says six members responded to the call at 8:35 a.m. and had the fire out shortly after 9 a.m.

“We used foam to knock down the major fire then mopped it up,” he said.

No one was injured.
