Smokies need to reset after up and down weekend; before hosting league best Vees

The Trail Smoke Eaters have not yet fired on all cylinders.

This from Head Coach Nick Deschenes as the team downed the West Kelowna Warriors 3-1 Friday but fell 5-2 in Vernon 24 hours later.

Deschenes says some nights you just don’t win – but they’ll never accept a loss from a lack of effort.


The Smokies hit the road Wednesday to take on the league best Penticton Vees.

Penticton are a whopping 23 and 4 this season.

Deschenes says he’ll be having a meeting with his leadership core this week to help the team refocus.
