CUPE deal ratified with RDCK

While there appears to be no end in sight to the labour impasse between Castlegar and its unionized city employees there has been a deal concluded between the CUPE local and the RDCK.
The union has ratified a new three agreement that involves no concessions and annual wage increases of 1.5%,1.4% and 1.5% respectively.

The deal expires February 25th next year and must still be ratified by the Regional District.

The sub local of CUPE 2262 covers about 40 district employees at arenas, the aquatic centre and landfills.
