Baker St set for Santa/ Elf Walk event

A visit from old St Nick is a way for downtown businesses in Nelson to give back to the community.

So says Jocelyn Carver who is on the coordinating committee of the Nelson Business Association – the group who puts on the annual Santa on Baker Street event, Saturday.

Running for nearly two decades Carver says it’s an expression of appreciation.

This year all proceeds from tomorrow’s event will be donated to Nelson Cares’ Room to Live affordable housing campaign.

Entertainment starts at 5:30 pm and Santa arrives at 6:30 pm.
