Diana Lockwood re-elected mayor of Salmo

Diana Lockwood will serve another term as mayor of Salmo after defeating incumbent councillor Jonathan Heatlie 236 to 206.

Meanwhile, Todd Wallace topped the polls in the race for council with 356 votes, followed by Jennifer Lins with 347, incumbent Kenzie Neil with 329, and Melanie Cox with 285.

The only candidate who missed the cut was recently-retired village administrator Anne Williams with 210.

Voter turnout was 48 per cent.
