All Rossland property owners should be doing their part to reduce the amount of storm water running into the sewer system.
So says councillor Kathy Moore as she looks for ways to reduce the burden on all taxpayers.
Ensuring all rooftop water is diverted into storm pipes and not the sewers would be a big help.
Rossland now pays nearly 25% for water treatment in the shared agreement with Trail and Warfield.
Moore says there won’t be policies on rooftop water in the immediate future but it’s something everyone should be thinking about.
