Fitness Park for Grand Forks

Grand Forks will have an outdoor fitness park by the summer.

Twelve pieces of special equipment will be mounted next to the aquatic centre in a garden-like surrounding.

John Mackey the Director of Recreation and Facilities for the RDKB says these sorts of areas have proven very popular throughout our area.

The project costs about $45,000 and is part of the Grand Forks and Area D recreation budget.

The aim is to have a community garden as well but Mackey says that’s yet to be fully fleshed out.
