Public comes out for update on Grohman Narrows project

Plenty of questions for BC hydro Wednesday night about its proposal to deepen the channel at Grohman Narrows.

Spokeswoman Sabrina Locicero says more than 70 people came to hear an update on the project.

Among other things they asked about water levels, erosion, and archaeological sites.

If the project proceeds it could see excavation of the Kootenay River bed to provide greater flood control.
