Weather warning

A major and potentially dangerous shift in the weather is on the way.

Environment Canada says arctic air will push south in the next few days bringing an end to the mild and wet weather.

That means issues on our roads.

Gusty winds and plummeting temperatures are expected from later Thursday. All the snow we’ve been having has been melting and flash freezes are expected by Friday night in the Kootenays.

We’re being advised to alter travel plans as the temperatures drop to -8 overnight by Saturday.
