Fatal truck crash in Rossland

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a single vehicle incident that has left a Rossland man dead.

RCMP, West Kootenay Traffic Services and the B.C Coroner are investigating after a pickup truck rolled down a steep embankment by Highway 3B.

Sgt Darren Oelke says the vehicle was driving on the Centennial Trail that could have been slippery.

The 24 year old victim was one of four people in the truck.

The driver and two other passengers were taken to hospital with non-threatening injuries.
