The city of Nelson’s Public Works Director figures there can be a solution to the Queen Elizabeth Park ball diamond issue.
The local club has been doing upgrades including the start of a new fence along the first base line.
But that fence would end the neighborhood’s toboggan run that sees kids use the slope onto the field.

The metal fence posts had already gone in but neighbors got a petition going calling for the work to stop until a solution was found.
Those posts are now gone, reportedly removed by vandals.
