Nelson Police Halloween reminder

Halloween can be hectic on our local streets but throw a Friday night into the mix and things could be even busier than normal tonight.

Nelson Police Sgt Dino Falcone says the 3 pm till 6 pm period is when we see most pedestrians out and about and it’s a busy time on the roads anyway. Motorists need to take extra time to have a good look around their vehicles wherever they’re driving or parking.


He adds Trick or Treaters need to be visible too so use reflective or bright markings on kids’ costumes and make sure their vision is not obscured by masks.

Falcone says they’ll have a full police presence on the streets tonight.
