The developers of the proposed Jumbo Glacier Resort in the East Kootenay are confident recent work will satisfy the provincial authorities.
The company had until Sunday to show they were underway with significant development on the mega all-year ski resort to be in compliance with their project approval.
Environmental groups opposed to the resort claim the pouring of a few foundations doesn’t cut it , but Senior VP Grant Costello says the work isn’t just a gesture.
Asked about private investors coming on stream Costello says it’s all about risk and reward and he’s confident once the province reports back on their work it’ll be a step in the right direction in reducing that risk.
