Mayor hopes for CPR night train changes

The Mayor of Castlegar is remaining positive after a rep from Canadian Pacific Railway presented in front of the City.

Lawrence Chernoff admits he didn’t envy Mike Lovecchio who took a lashing from nearly one hundred residents Monday night who are angry about noisy middle-of-the-night changes to West Kootenay operations.

Chernoff says they have to work together to find a solution but something has to change.

Chernoff adds under federal regulations there isn’t much they can do to prevent CP Rail from making the schedule changes.
