Nelson Council greenlights rezoning for golf course development

Despite plenty of neighborhood concern Nelson City Council has okayed a re-zoning that would allow up to 30 multi-family units to be built on the golf course at Rosemont.

Many local residents figure that’s too many units for Choquette Avenue but most of council did not agree.

And Paula Kiss figures the design lay-out of the three buildings is very sensitive to the neighbours.

Council decided the re-zoning will allow the sort of density and affordable home ownership called for in the Official Community Plan.
