Back to business for Jumbo resort

The first construction project at Jumbo Glacier resort should be complete this summer.

Mayor of the new Jumbo Resort Municipality Greg Deck is speaking following the B.C Supreme court dismissal last week of the case brought by the Ktunaxa Nation Council.

He says it’s a return to business as usual with creating an official community plan and building a modest sized lodge at the base of Farnham Glacier.

Deck says questions about potential investors for the resort should be put to the developers.

They weren’t prepared to be interviewed but Deck’s sense is the court ruling removes uncertainty and improves its appeal to financial backers.
