CPR failed to tell community of noisy night train:councillor

CP Rail is getting a failing grade from one Castlegar city councillor when it comes to communication and outreach.

Sue Heaton-sherstobitoff is speaking to the change of daily schedule that now sees a train rumble through town in the dead of night with it’s horn-whistle blowing.

She says CPR didn’t give the community the heads -up.

Heaton-Sherstobitoff – who lives next to the rail line- is encouraging residents to go to the CPR website and complain on line or via their phone number.

A CP spokesperson said they informed the mayor’s office about the change ahead of time.
