Trail boundary expansion move prompts UBCM vote

The city of Trail’s attempt to extend its boundary into the Waneta area was behind a vote taken at the Union of BC Municipalities convention Wednesday.

John Kettle is the chair of the neighboring RDCK. He explains why his regional district sponsored the resolution calling for residents who are going to be taken over in a boundary expansion to be allowed a referendum.
