Promoting Castlegar as an international Communities In Bloom award winner is a top priority when budget discussion start up.
So says city councillor Sue Heaton-Sherstobitoff who just came back from Prince Edward Island for the 2014 CIB Awards Ceremony.
Castlegar won the prize for best floral displays in a small market on the international level.
They were also nominated for community involvement – something Heaton-Sherstobitoff says is essential to the local program.
She adds the award puts the CIB spotlight on Castlegar for years to come.
