The BC senior men’s and women’s curling championships kick off tonight in Trail.
Sixteen teams have qualified at regionals to take part, including four Kootenay rinks: Bill Van Yzerloo and Heather Nichol of Castlegar, Tom Buchy of Kimberley, and Joy Romeo of Cranbrook.
The winner will go on to Canadian senior championships in Chilliwack in March
The tournament runs through Saturday. Trail last hosted the event in 2013.
