A major achievement for Castlegar’s Communities in Bloom volunteers.
After ten years of effort the city has won it’s first international award in the small city category.
Chair of the local committee Darlene Kalawsky says the community was acknowledged for its overall beautification efforts but especially it’s floral displays.
Trail was also a finalist at the event in PEI.
The Silver City received special mention for its edible green route walking garden.
