More roadwork slated for Alpine City

Another road infrastructure project will happen in Rossland this summer although it won’t bring the sort of upheaval seen last year.

Mayor Greg Granstrom says they’ve approved engineering for the planned upgrade to one block of Spokane street from Columbia to First avenue.

Granstrom says the $350K cost of the Spokane street fix is part of the 2014 budget that features a 7% tax increase driven entirely by last year’s major upgrades in the downtown last year.
