The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of the man who’s body was found in the west arm of Kootenay Lake last week as that of Paul Tayes.
The 56 year old camper had not been seen for a week after he checked in for one night into Kokanee Creek Park near Nelson September 2nd.
Extensive searches of the park and immediate area failed to find any clues.
He was spotted by a kayaker near Crescent Beach Wednesday which is a kilometre downstream of the park.
