BC Fed loan "heart-warming": local teacher's union

A local union rep says the commitment of an $8 million interest free loan by the BC Federation of Labour to striking teachers is heart-warming.

And Kootenay Columbia Teachers’ Union President Andy Davidoff says it also highlights this issue is ultimately about a government that wants to change the future of bargaining across the whole public sector.


BC teachers are voting Wednesday on the proposal of binding arbitration to settle the impasse even though the government continues to reject the idea.
