Rossland mayor encouraged by Trail price move on pedestrian bridge

The mayor of Rossland thinks it’s a good sign trail has lowered it’s ask from its regional sewer partners for a proposed pedestrian pipe bridge.

Greg Granstrom is responding to the Silver City moving its position from a shared cost of $5.4 million to $ 5-million.

The parties are still a long way apart with Rossland and Warfield offering $2.7 million because estimates suggest a new sewer pipe could be hung from the existing Victoria Street Bridge for that …something Trail disputes.

The only thing all sides agree on is the urgency of getting the existing and decaying sewer line over the river replaced.
