Trail drops it's negotiation price for shared pedestrian bridge

Trail is dropping the shared cost its proposing to Rossland and Warfield for the pedestrian sewer pipe bridge.

Silver City mayor Dieter Bogs believes the longer these negotiations go on the higher the risk will be for a problem coming the existing sewer pipe.

And Bogs believes that liability could land on the regional district.

Rossland and Warfield want the partners to pay $2.7 million as that’s the loose estimated cost of a sewer pipe alone under the existing Victoria St bridge.

Trail wants an aerial pipe over the Columbia River that would be part of a pedestrian crossing they will pay for.
