RCMP investigators looking into the mystery disappearance of a camper at Kokanee Creek Park near Nelson say it’s very unusual.
Sergeant Mike Wicentovich with the regional General Investigation Section says they had officers interview fellow campers at the site this weekend.
They’re trying to learn more about the movements of 56 year old Paul Tayes who was last seen Wednesday morning.
Wicentovich agrees with a local search and rescue official that it would be very unlikely the man was attacked by a bear…although it is a possibility.
They’re asking for the public to continue to be on the look out in the area of the park for anything suspicious.
