Camper still missing in Nelson area

The whereabouts of the man who is initially believed to have gone missing in Kokanee Creek Park near Nelson six days ago remains a mystery.

Chris Armstrong with Nelson Search and Rescue says they’ve hunted high and low for 56 year old Paul Tayes.

And with the planned search and rescue exercises in the park there was no shortage of resources.


Armstrong says they’ll be meeting with RCMP Monday morning to discuss expanding the search.

Tayes – who is from Surrey -is reported to be an avid outdoorsman.
