Nelson hosts major search and rescue weekend

Nelson will host a major search and rescue exercise – or SAREX  – as well as public demonstrations this weekend.

Here’s local member Chris Armstrong.


…they’ll do “down wash” training and “hover exit”.

Some of the many other exercises include swift water rescue,rope rescue,tracking and survival.

An open day is planned at Kokanee Creek Park Saturday where the public can watch how it’s all done.
