Thomas Milne is running in Warfield’s mayoral race against incumbent Diane Langman. Milne says he’s no stranger to local politics having spent a total of eight years on council previously. That includes one term in the 1970’s and then again more recently. “2016 in January, I resigned for personal reasons and I decided now that things are back to normal. I’d like to take on the mayor’s job; there’s some things that I’d like to finish.”
Some of the projects Milne says wants to work on include the Village’s water system and the renewal of the recreation agreement with the City of Trail which he says is coming up in two years.
Milne says Warfield is a great community that he’s been a resident of for 56 years.
