One of Trail’s three mayoral candidates running in October’s municipal election is Casey LeMoel.
LeMoel is a 37-year-old business owner and says he was born in Trail and loves the city. “I’m a hard worker, I’m down to earth, every day citizen that knows what the people of Trail want and need. Like affordable housing and infrastructure updates in the city of Trail to save the tax payer more money. You know, those are my main points, but it’s all about the people and the people matter and that’s really important to me.”
He says updating the the city’s infrastructure is something he wants to see more work on. “A lot of it is, you know, over 100 years old; hasn’t been upgraded. They’ve had plans to do a plan for upgrading, but it just keeps getting shoved aside. It’s starting to show a lot. A lot of citizens on those old West Trail streets are having problems with their sewer all the time.”
He says also wants to promote responsible spending and mayor to tax payer communication.
