Bruno Tassone joins Castlegar mayor’s race

It will be a three-way race for mayor in Castlegar, as Bruno Tassone filed his papers today to run against incumbent mayor Lawrence Chernoff and fellow incumbent councillor Deb McIntosh.

The nomination deadline was 4 p.m.

Eleven people are running for councillor, including three incumbents. They are:

Hergert, Nicole

Lamont, Gordon

Maddocks, Tyler

McLeod, Cherryl

McFaddin, Maria

Price, Bergen

Rye, Dan (x)

Smitheram, Brian

Vassilakakis, Florio (x)

McLeod, Maddocks, and Sylvest also ran in a 2016 byelection that saw Arry Dhillon join council. Dhillon did not seek re-election.
