Marwest and the City of Castlegar are advising the public of increased activity on Columbia Avenue over the next few weeks. Starting this Saturday, September 8, crews will be working Saturdays through to the project completion. Road grading will start on Monday between 13th and 15th streets. Road gravel will be placed next week and the first layer of asphalt goes down on Friday, September 14.
Additional congestion and delays along this section of Columbia are expected. You’re advised to slow down and use caution.
