Grand Forks mayor "can't see logic" in latest water meter criticism

The mayor of Grand Forks is responding to the latest criticism from some with the roll-out of water meters now imminent.

The local ad hoc Watershed Coalition group says residents should block installation until there’s been proper consultation with First Nations because the city is now getting involved in selling water as a commodity.

But Taylor says there has been little interaction with First Nations on that study which calls for water conservation.

He adds the city has always sold water in that it charges for delivery and he says opponents have been unfocused and “all over the map” in their multiple layers of criticism.
