Housing Needs Assessment will be done in Castlegar

A new assessment will be looking at Castlegar’s housing situation. City Council have awarded the project to a consultant called City Spaces who will be putting together a report. Councillor Deb McIntosh says it’ll cover a range of different housing options.

Councillor McIntosh says it will provide useful information to a number of different groups.

The cost is just under $21,000 with the City contributing $5,000 and the Columbia Basin Trust providing the rest.

The final report should come back to council in October.
