A local rural director is hoping the residents of Deer Park on the Lower Arrow Lake will soon have a new regional park.
Gord Zaitsoff says he’s been working to secure a transfer of the small piece of BC Hydro land at Deer creek which has been used informally for swimming and other activities for many years.
Zaitsoff says deer park residents pay taxes like everyone else and he hopes a lease transfer can happen.
A gazebo and washroom are planned.
